Some people in Uganda are trying to keep primates like monkeys, Chimpanzees in their homes. this is a risk to Ugandaprimate safaris. They are later sold to foreigners as pets. One incidence in case was in September when a baby Chimpanzee was rescued from a native’s home in Kibale by Uganda Wild life Authority and Jane Good all Institute.
By the time the poor animal was rescued, it had been dehydrated and was very frail. This is a heartbreaking issue. Cruelly, the animal had been left hanging on a tree with a rope tied around its leg.
Luckily enough the animal was treated off the wounds but the deep wounds in the heart will never be healed completely. This was a lucky Chimpanzee. But how many may be still in captive at the moment? If mountain gorillas were mot so strong, may be they would be victims too. We love nature let us preserve it in good shape
