Mount Gahinga Safari Lodge

Mount Gahinga Safari Lodge is a luxury lodge situated on the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes on the border of Uganda, Rwanda and the DRC. This lodge is currently being renovated. Grand improvement has been made on the lodge and a sunroom facing the volcanoes has been added, a new terrace and gardens planted.

At the moment the habituated family which used to live in Mgahinga National Park is mobile in that at times, they move between Uganda, Rwanda and the DRC and there is no guarantee of seeing them all the time. You have an optional group to Track in Bwindi the Nkuringo group in Southern part. There is a provision of climbing the volcano, head for birding, or just take in one of the most interesting landscapes of Africa.

To get there, there is an hour’s flight or a long day’s drive from Entebbe, four hours’ drive from Kigali.
