3 Days Murchison Falls National Park

Day 1: DRIVE TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning, a safari guide from EXPERT GUIDED ADVENTURE will pick you up from your overnight hotel. You will travel to Murchison falls national park passing via Luwero triangle. You will be able to see the remains of the 1980s liberation war that brought the current government to power. Continue to the park premises. Murchison falls National Park is found in the northern part of the albertine rift valley. It is one of Uganda’s oldest conservation areas. It is bisected by the Victoria Nile which first races down 80km of white water rapids before plunging 40 km over the remnant rift valley wall forming Murchison falls. This park covers an area of 3893 sq km and it encompasses Karuma and Bugungu wildlife reserves. It is home to over 76 mammals and more than 450 bird species. Its vegetation is made up of mainly forests forming the savannah wood land. Carry on to the top of the falls where you will see the Nile as it squeezes its self through the narrow gorge then busts out forming a cloudy appearance and a thunderous sound. Day 2: GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE
Get up early in the morning for your breath taking game drive. You will have the chance of seeing the early risers as they return to there hide outs. As you drive through the Buligi trail which is the park’s prime savanna game viewing area, you may have the chance of seeing rothchild giraffes, buffalos, elephants, oribi, warthogs, hartebeest, Uganda kobs and predators like lions, leopards, hyenas the list is end less. Return to your lodge for late morning breakfast and relax as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon. Move down to the river for an eye captivating launch cruise. You may get the chance of seeing families of elephants, herds of buffalos, school of hippos as they spill up the water to form a fountain like appearance, huge crocodiles are also at your disposal so many animals are present. The myriad of birds is also exciting to look at. Which enjoying the boat cruise, you may get the chance of spotting the rare shoe bill stock, rarities like the yellow fly catcher, ituri batis and others. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day3: RETURN TO KAMPALA
Having visited one of the gifted parks in Uganda, return to Kampala. Enroute, break your journey at the Ziiwa rhino sanctuary where you will have the chance of viewing the restored white rhinos. Carry on up to Entebbe to take on your return flight.
