Gorilla Safari Uganda

4 Days Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking safari. Kibale Bwindi NP.

Day One; Drive to Kibale / Afternoon Chimpanzee tracking.
Leave Kampala at 6; 00 am for fort portal. The drive will take you about 6 hours to reach the town in the afternoon. You will have lunch and then in the afternoon you will go track chimpanzee in Kibale forest. The park is known to harbour the largest number of primates in the whole of Africa. Therefore the walk through the forest will not only reward you with chimps but with other primates like the colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white monkeys and bush babies. Overnight at Ndali lodge/ mountains on the moon hotel / Rwenzori view guest house/ primates lodge.

Day Two; Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Park. Gorilla Safari
In the morning you will drive to Bwindi forest to pass through Queen Elizabeth National park. Watch out for game enroute reaching Bwindi in the late afternoon. Overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead/ Buhoma community Bandas.

Day Three; Gorilla trekking
This morning you will have breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before you hike through the forest in search for the Great giant apes. On this Uganda Tour, you will walk along the different tracks according to the previous siting and then start trekking them from where they were last sited. You will walk up and down the different terrains trying to search for these apes. It’s a struggle but meeting them and spending one hour with them makes you forget the hassle you went through in trying to find them. Gazing into the innocent brown eyes of the gorillas gives one an amazing experience and makes you wonder why people killed these humble giants in the civil wars. You will watch them play-feed, they are just astounding. After that you will return to your lodge, to relax. Overnight at Uganda Safari Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead/ Buhoma community Bandas.

Day four; Drive back to Kampala.

In the morning after breakfast you will drive back to Kampala stopping in Mbarara and at the equator for lunch and photos respectively. You will reach Kampala in the evening to be transferred to your proposed place of stay.
