Primate Safari Uganda Tour

5 Days Primates tour Semliki and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 1: Transfer to Semuliki wildlife reserve.
Drive to Semliki wildlife reserve to go along the eastern side of Lake Albert to the basin of the western rift valley. The park is blessed with a variety of habitats which explains the variety for wildlife that the park has to offer. You will reach the park in the afternoon to relax and then at night go for a spot lit game drive in the reserve.  This will reward you with lots of cats, hyenas, nightjars and it has a lot of surprises that you have to watch out for. Overnight at Semliki Lodge/ Rwenzori view guest house/ Primates lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking from Semuliki NP
On this day you will go track wild chimpanzees in a beautiful gallery of rainforest. The walk through this forest will not only reward you with chimps but with birds too. You will then retire from the forest walk to your lodge to rest and then later on you will go for an evening game drive in the park as you watch the sun fall. Overnight at Semliki Lodge/ Rwenzori view guest house/ Primates lodge.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth and the Mweya Peninsula
Have a game drive enroute as you leave Semliki for Queen Elizabeth National park. Ascend the western rift valley to fort portal and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. The drive will take you about 4 hours to reach the park in the afternoon. You will have lunch and the go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel to view buffaloes, hippos and plenty of birds.  Overnight at Mweya safari lodge / Mweya hostel.

Day 4: Game drive / Kyambura Chimpanzee trekking.
Before sunrise you will drive along the different park routes in search for animals, like lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, warthogs, bush bucks water bucks to mention. After the game drive you will have lunch and then transfer to the to the Kyambura region for the chimps. This walk will also reward you with other primates, like the bush babies, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons and many more. Overnight at Mweya safari lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge / Mweya hostel.

Day 5; Drive back to Kampala
Have breakfast and then pack your bags to drive back to Kampala. The drive will be leisurely taking you about 7 hours to reach Kampala in the evening.
